Intel’s operations in Oregon stretch across four campuses west of Portland in Washington County. The campuses comprise Intel’s largest and most comprehensive site in the world—a global center of semiconductor research and manufacturing and the anchor of Oregon’s economy.
The Aloha (AL) campus was the first Intel campus outside of California and Fab 4 was the first fabrication facility (fab) onsite. Construction began in 1974 and Fab 4 opened in 1976. The Aloha campus provides facilities for the last steps in the chip manufacturing process: C4, sort and die prep.
